The Hexbug Nano Starter Habitat Set includes one swarming extremely rare Hexbug Nano robot bug. The bug has a switch on its belly. Once turned on, it vibrates and moves randomly forward. It bumps into the habitat sides and other bugs. If a bug flips on its back, it will even flip itself back over! That is, if the child is patient enough to wait… Children usually cannot resist picking up the bugs and flipping them on their own.
The Hexbug Nano Starter Habitat set is a low cost way to stimulate Hexbug play. Add-on accessories may be purchased to allow the habitat to be built many different ways. The Nano Habitat Starter Set comes with one Habitat cell and two curved bridges. The Habitat cell has six places to attach the bridges. At each attachment point, there is a bright orange gate. Children love to trap the bugs in a cell or watch them battle in a bridge. The ability to build the set in different configurations stimulates childrens’ creativity in play.
Older children enjoy registering their bugs online and playing online games. The online site consists of maze games and stimulating Q & A.
The Hexbug Nano Habitat Starter Set is the most fun when a second or more bugs are added. The bugs bump into each other, chase each other in the track and make it much more exciting.
